Ingredients

  • medium apples
  • 200 grams oats
  • 50 grams brown sugar
  • 50 grams unsalted butter
  • teaspoons cinnamon
  • 50 grams mixed nuts (hazelnuts, almonds, walnuts)
  •  Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. 1 Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. 2 Peel the apples and cut them into small pieces.
  3. 3 Place the apple pieces in a baking dish and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
  4. 4 In a separate bowl, mix the oats, brown sugar, butter, remaining cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Use your hands to mix everything well and form a crumbly dough.
  5. 5 Evenly distribute the oat mixture over the apples.
  6. 6 Roughly chop the nuts and sprinkle them over the crumble.
  7. 7 Bake the crumble for 25-30 minutes in the oven, until the top is golden brown and the apples are soft. Don't worry if it takes a little longer, every oven is different!
  8. 8 Serve the crumble warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of yogurt. Enjoy!
