Beef Stew with Red Wine and Rosemary

800 grams of beef stew meat, cubed

2 onions, chopped

2 carrots, sliced

3 cloves of garlic, minced

500 ml of red wine

2 sprigs of rosemary

2 bay leaves

2 tablespoons of olive oil

salt and pepper to taste

Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven.

Brown the beef cubes until they are nicely browned. Remove them from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan, sauté the chopped onion, carrot, and garlic until they are soft.

Add the red wine, rosemary, and bay leaves and let it simmer for a while.

Now add the meat back to the pan, reduce the heat and let the dish simmer for at least 2 hours, until the meat is tender.
