Ingredients

  • 200 g spaghetti
  •  Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • tbsp olive oil
  • cloves of garlic, minced
  •  Handful of fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 50 g Parmesan cheese, grated
  •  Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. 1 1. Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the package in salted water.
  2. 2 2. While the spaghetti is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large pan and add the minced garlic. Let it simmer for a few minutes until the garlic is golden brown.
  3. 3 3. Add the lemon juice and lemon zest to the pan. Let it simmer for a few minutes to let the flavors come together.
  4. 4 4. Drain the spaghetti, but reserve a little bit of the pasta water. Add the spaghetti to the pan and mix it well with the lemon-garlic mixture. Add a little pasta water if needed to make the sauce smoother.
