Fresh Tomato Sauce with Basil and Parmesan
This is a classic from the Italian kitchen that you can easily make at home. This fresh tomato sauce with basil and parmesan is not only delicious over your pasta, but also perfect as a base for other dishes. No stress! 800 g fresh tomatoes

1 large onion

2 cloves of garlic

Handful of fresh basil

50 g grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Wash the tomatoes and cut them into pieces.

Peel and chop the onion and garlic.

Heat the olive oil in a pan and sauté the onion and garlic until soft.

Add the tomatoes and let them simmer over low heat until soft and juicy. This takes about 25 minutes.

Add the Parmesan cheese and fresh basil at the end. Stir well and season with salt and pepper.
