This delicious tomato sauce is one of my favorites, and I hope it becomes one of yours too! It is a healthy version of traditional tomato sauce, made with fresh tomatoes, garlic, and herbs. Perfect for pasta, lasagna, pizza, or even as a dip for raw vegetables. And you know what the best part is? It's super easy to make!

Ingredients

  • fresh tomatoes
  • cloves of garlic
  • onion
  • tablespoons of olive oil
  • teaspoon of salt
  • teaspoon of pepper
  • teaspoon of sugar
  •  Handful of fresh basil

Instructions

  1. 1 Cut the tomatoes, garlic, and onion into small pieces.
  2. 2 Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. 3 Add the garlic and onion and cook until soft.
  4. 4 Add the tomatoes, salt, pepper, and sugar.
  5. 5 Let the mixture simmer for 20 minutes, stirring regularly.
  6. 6 Add the fresh basil at the end and mix well.
  7. 7 Let the sauce cool down and then puree it in a blender to the desired consistency. Voila, your homemade tomato sauce is ready!
