Ingredients

  • 500 grams of kale, washed and finely chopped
  • 500 grams of sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
  • onion, chopped
  • cloves of garlic, minced
  • tablespoon of olive oil
  •  salt and pepper to taste
  • 100 ml of skimmed milk
  • smoked sausage, sliced

Instructions

  1. 1 Heat the olive oil in a large pan and sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
  2. 2 Add the sweet potatoes and a little salt. Cook for a few minutes until they soften slightly.
  3. 3 Add the kale to the pan. Stir well to ensure everything is mixed. Add a little water, cover the pan and let it simmer for about 20 minutes until the kale and potatoes are soft.
  4. 4 While the mash is cooking, fry the smoked sausage in a separate pan until it is nicely browned and crispy.
  5. 5 Once the kale and potatoes are cooked, add the milk and mash everything into a creamy mash. Add salt and pepper to taste.
