Italian Stuffed Peppers with Ground Beef and Mozzarella

4 large red bell peppers

500 grams lean ground beef

2 cloves of garlic, minced

400 grams canned tomatoes

1 zucchini, diced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

salt and pepper to taste

200 grams shredded mozzarella

fresh basil leaves for garnish

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

Cut the tops off the peppers and remove the seeds. Set aside.

Heat a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned and cooked through.

Add the onion, garlic, and zucchini to the pan and cook until the vegetables are soft.

Add the tomatoes, oregano, and basil. Season with salt and pepper. Let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes.
