Special Broccoli with Homemade Creamy Lemon Sauce
A healthy and nutritious meal that looks green and fresh. The broccoli is beautifully roasted and the sauce is refreshing thanks to the lemon and cream. A great way to get some extra vegetables in your diet, with a sauce you'll want to serve with every dish!

Juice and zest of 1 lemon

2 cloves of garlic, minced

1 tablespoon butter

Finely chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Preheat the oven to 200°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Toss the broccoli with the olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread the broccoli evenly on the baking sheet.

Roast the broccoli in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and crispy.

While the broccoli is roasting, make the sauce. Heat the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until golden brown.

Add the cream, lemon zest, and lemon juice to the pan. Let the mixture simmer until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.

Season the sauce with salt and pepper. Turn off the heat and keep the sauce warm until the broccoli is ready.
