  • 200 grams pitted dates
  • 100 grams unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 50 grams coconut oil
  • eggs
  • teaspoon vanilla extract
  •  pinch of salt
  • 50 grams walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1 Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a brownie pan with parchment paper.
  2. 2 Place the dates in a bowl and pour boiling water over them. Let them soak for 15 minutes.
  3. 3 Drain the water and place the dates in a food processor with the coconut oil. Blend into a smooth puree.
  4. 4 Add the eggs, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt, and mix into a smooth batter.
  5. 5 Roughly chop the walnuts and fold them into the batter (optional).
  6. 6 Pour the batter into the pan and bake the brownies for about 20-25 minutes in the oven.
