500 grams lean ground beef
2 onions, finely chopped
2 carrots, peeled and diced
2 stalks of celery, diced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 can of diced tomatoes (400 grams)
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions
1Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
2Add the onion, carrot, celery, and garlic and cook until the vegetables are soft. This takes about 5 minutes. Don't rush, take the time to cook your vegetables well, this adds extra flavor!
