4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
1 red chili pepper, finely chopped (optional)
250 ml dry white wine
4 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions
1Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
2Add the garlic and chili pepper and cook until the garlic is golden brown. Be careful not to burn the garlic!
3Add the Venus clams and stir well.
4Add the wine, cover the pan, and let the Venus clams steam for about 7-10 minutes until they open. If they don't open, discard them as they are not good!
5Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions.
