  • 320 grams spaghetti
  • kg fresh Venus clams, cleaned
  • cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • red chili pepper, finely chopped (optional)
  • 250 ml dry white wine
  • tablespoons olive oil
  •  A few sprigs of fresh parsley, finely chopped
  •  Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1 Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  2. 2 Add the garlic and chili pepper and cook until the garlic is golden brown. Be careful not to burn the garlic!
  3. 3 Add the Venus clams and stir well.
  4. 4 Add the wine, cover the pan, and let the Venus clams steam for about 7-10 minutes until they open. If they don't open, discard them as they are not good!
  5. 5 Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions.
  6. 6 Drain the spaghetti and add it to the pan with the Venus clams. Stir well to allow the pasta to absorb the flavors.
