Ingredients
1 can of tomato paste (140 grams)
120 ml apple cider vinegar
60 ml maple syrup
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)

Instructions
1Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan.
2Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Stir regularly to prevent the sauce from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
3Reduce the heat to low once the sauce boils and let it simmer for another 15 minutes. Stir regularly.
4Taste the sauce and adjust the flavor to your liking. Add more maple syrup for extra sweetness, or more apple cider vinegar for more acidity.
5Allow the sauce to cool and store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. The sauce will keep for about 2 weeks.
